Minimum detectable amount (MDA)

From NucleonicaWiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Value for the lowest possible amount of an isotope which can be surely detected with a certain setup. This value should cause a peak which is with a certain safety always higher than the detection limit. In most cases the MDA will be so high that the peak caused by it is twice as high as the detection limit.
